Course description

The B.Sc. in Information Technology is a four-year program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to address real-world challenges using information technology solutions. This program is ideal for students who are passionate about leveraging IT to innovate and solve problems in business, industry, and societal contexts.

The program emphasizes practical, hands-on learning and is tailored for students who aim to enhance their problem-solving abilities through the application of IT tools and techniques.

The program prepares the learner in the following areas: Programming, data structures and algorithms, computer networks, web development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile programming, database systems, human computer interaction, embedded systems, systems security, computer graphics, Internet of Things. It includes a three-month program of industrial attachment where the learner is exposed to the world of computing.

The department has club know as Daystar Information Technology(DITA) which nurture innovation in computing and facilitates mentorship.

The program equips the learner a solid foundation in liberal arts preparing them to serve the community and the world at large professionally and ethically.
